Cynthia Storozuk

October 10, 1946 ~ September 9, 2017 (age 70)
Cynthia (Carroll) Storozuk, 70, of Enfield, widow of William Storozuk, passed peacefully at home on September 9. “Cindy” was born October 10, 1946 in Springfield, daughter of the late Richard Sumner Carroll and Verlie Willard Carroll. She grew up in Longmeadow and attended school there. She went on to graduate from Howard School for Girls in West Bridgewater, MA., Marjorie Webster Junior College in Washington D.C. and Andover Institute of Business in Springfield, MA. Cindy worked at Hamilton Standard. She worked in the food service program for both the Somers and the South Windsor public school systems until she retired in 2006. Her coworkers quickly became her friends and Cindy valued each friendship. She cherished the memories made traveling, day tripping and vacationing with them. Cindy was a sports fanatic, enjoyed football and tennis and always looked forward to the Olympic Games. She was a walking encyclopedia and knew the complete history of almost every athlete. Nothing captured her attention more than Nascar Racing, she always looked forward to race day. No one knew the stats like she did. Cindy leaves her brother Robert (Bob) Carroll and his wife Barbara of Longmeadow MA. and their 3 children, Peter Carroll and his wife Maurisa of Naples, FL., Heather Carroll of Lexington, MA. and Holly Carroll of Falmouth, MA. Cindy is survived by her late husband’s brothers, Joseph Storozuk, Kenneth Storozuk, David Storozuk and their spouses. She joins her late brother-in-law Francis Storozuk and her late sister-in-law Corinne “Cookie” Goncalves. Cindy was predeceased by her beloved husband “Bill” in 1983 and sadly, predeceased by both of their sons, Derrick Richard Storozuk 1973-2006 and Bradford William Storozuk 1976-2012. Those who knew Cindy find comfort in knowing she will reunite with her family. Cindy will be missed by her daughter-in-law Gina (Lo Bianco) Storozuk and two grandchildren Denny 9 and Dana 6 of Somers. Gina was like a daughter to Cindy, sharing a bond that spanned 23 years. To honor Cindy’s request, there will be no calling hours and a grave side service will be held privately for immediate family. Memorial contributions may be made to TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, VERLIE W. CARROLL FUND for MUSIC, 361 Sumner Ave. Springfield, MA 01108.
