Bernard A. Pelletier, 79, of Springfield, passed away Saturday October 27th, 2018 at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. He was born in Ludlow, MA to the late Wilfred and Laura (Trombly) Pelletier. Bernard worked as a cook and bartender at the former Piccadilly’s Restaurant on Island Pond Rd. in Springfield and also worked as a Painter for many years with Denoncourt Painting in Hampden. Bernard was also a member of Holy Name Parish in Springfield where he served as Eucharistic Minister. He was predeceased by his wife, Cynthia (Papillon) Pelletier and by his two sisters, Bernadette Kachur and Doris Heffner. He is survived by his daughter, Geraldine Heffner of Ware, and two sons, Robert Pelletier of New Hampshire and Brian Pelletier of Texas; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. All are invited to meet for a period of visitation on Friday November 2nd from 9 – 10 AM at the Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Holy Name Church, 323 Dickinson St., Springfield. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Springfield. Memorial donations may be made in Bernard’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
