Carl “Tommy” T. Marini, Jr., 63, beloved husband, of 23 years, of Diane C. (Lapponese) Marini, passed away peacefully at his home in Springfield on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, with his family at his side. Carl was born on March 10, 1957, in Springfield, MA, a son of Carl T. Sr. and Katherine (Sands) Marini. He was raised and educated in Ludlow and was a graduate of Ludlow High School. Carl served his country honorably as PFC in the U.S. Army. He held a long career as an auto mechanic and upholsterer at various garages, dealerships, and service centers throughout the Springfield area. As would be expected, Carl had a passion for muscle cars. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and the Boston Red sox. He enjoyed the thrill and relaxation of fishing and playing poker. Carl leaves behind his loving wife, Diane, of Springfield, sons, Brandon T. Marini and Jonathan T. Stolki both of Belchertown, step sons, William and Justin Lapponese both of Springfield; siblings, Debbie Martins and her husband, David, Donna Harper and her husband, James, all of Sarasota, FL, Dan Marini and his wife, Melinda of Springfield and Timm Marini and his wife, Jackie of Wilbraham; and 3 cherished grandchildren. He will also be missed by his two cats. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Dennis Marini formerly of West Springfield. Carl’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 27, at 2:30 p.m. at the Wesleyan Church, 98 White St., Springfield, MA 01108. His burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carl's wife,
