Gregory George Dauplaise, Jr.

July 12, 1969 ~ October 14, 2018 (age 49)

Gregory George Dauplaise, Jr., 49, passed away in the comfort of his home in Westfield on Sunday October 14th with his loving family by his side. Born in Springfield on July 12, 1969, beloved son of Gregory G., Sr. and Barbara A. (Boduch) Dauplaise, he was raised and educated in Springfield, an Eagle Scout, and was a graduate of Roger L. Putnam Vocational High School. Greg was the owner and operator of Greg’s Burner Service, for over 30 years, which covered throughout the Springfield area. He was a Melha Shriner and a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons.  Greg was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, the Red Sox and New England Patriots. Greg was a kind and considerate person with a huge heart. He served as a foster parent for several years and loved all kinds of animals big and small. He leaves behind his loving parents, Gregory and his significant other, Gina Pupo of East Longmeadow and by his mother, Barbara Dauplaise of Dallas, Georgia and her significant other, Carlton “Buddy” Ernst; his fiancé, Vicky Kimberly of Westfield; sister, Tammy Fondas and her husband, Andrew, of Dallas, GA; step daughter, Lindsey Place of Springfield; aunts, Theresa Boldys of East Longmeadow, Dora Barlow of Enfield, and Frances “Fran” Mascaro and her husband, Joseph, of East Longmeadow; and uncle, John Boduch and his wife Jeri, of Powder Springs, GA; 2 nephews, Colby and Bryson Fondas of Dallas, GA. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, October 18, for a period of visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at Hafey Funeral Home, 494 Belmont Ave., Springfield, MA 01108, followed by a service in the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Greg’s name may be made to Dakin Humane Society, P.O. Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101.
