James Martin Wynn, 72, of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born on March 30, 1948, in Springfield, MA, a son of Joseph and Isabella (Mackechnie) Wynn, he was raised and educated in Springfield, before becoming a longtime resident of Westfield. James graduated from Springfield Technical High School, Springfield Technical Community College, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst earning an accounting degree. James served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, worked over 30 years preparing personal taxes for H&R Block, friends, and family, and was employed by the City of Springfield for nearly 40 years serving as a City Hall nightwatchman. James leaves behind his three loving sons, Joseph Wynn and his wife, Laurel, Michael Wynn, and Kevin Wynn all of Westfield; brother, Robert Wynn of East Longmeadow; sisters, Mary Harney of Medfield, MA, and Christine Maloney of Wilbraham; two adored granddaughters, Claire and Ella; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret and ex-wife Jacqueline.
