Mary (Duquette) Kossick, 91, passed away peacefully Thursday February 14, 2019 at Quaboag Rehabilitation in West Brookfield, MA. Born in Springfield to the late Royal F. and Catherine (Sullivan) Duquette, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a wonderful homemaker for most of her life, later working for KinderCare as a Nursery Teacher where she spent several years managing and loving the many infants and children. Mary was active with the Mercy Hospital Guild for many years. She was also active in her church, St Mary's in Hampden MA and then St. Margaret Mary in Winter Park, FL. Mary was predeceased by her husband, William L. Kossick, in 1993. She is survived by her three children, Donna K. Richter of California, Kimberly Anne Kossick of New Hampshire and Jeffrey W. Kossick of Florida; her grandchildren; Kurt, Kim and Christy Richter and Mary, Colleen and Bridget Fordham and great-grandchildren, Braden Richter and Matson Jones. Family and friends are invited to meet on Friday February 22, 2019 for a period of visitation from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Ave., Springfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St., Springfield. Burial will be held in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 264 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104.
