Olga Julia (Gorzocoski) Ford, 98, of Springfield, died on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Sunderland, MA on August 16, 1922 to Paul and Julia (Chudz) Gorzocoski, she grew up in Northfield, MA, on the family farm and was educated in Northfield Schools. Olga attended the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, graduating in 1947. She went to work as a Registered Nurse, including Head Nurse of the Intermediate Unit, until her retirement. Olga was a devout Roman Catholic, a communicant of Holy Cross Church in Springfield, and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. She was predeceased by her husband, John In 1990. Olga is survived by her daughter, Julia Miller and her husband, Donald of Guilford, VT; her niece and Goddaughter, Anne Gorzocoski of Northfield. She also leaves her niece, Joy Gorzocoski and her husband, Dennis Hudson, nephews, Paul Gorzocoski, David Gorzocoski and his wife Diana, Terry Ford and Thomas Ford. Family and friends are invited to gather directly on Saturday, August 8, for Olga’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 221 Plumtree Rd., Springfield.
