How do you describe a man once he has passed? By the qualities he left entrenched in the hearts of those who knew him!
Peter A. Drane had 2 unquestionably dominant qualities. He was tirelessly Hardworking and limitlessly Generous! So outstanding were these qualities, that he left more of an impact than he ever would have imagined, on all who crossed his path in this world.
Peter Drane is survived by 5 siblings, 6 children, a myriad of grandchildren, and most heartbreaking of all, his lovely wife Valerie. He will always be remembered as, "the person who helped me with...". As the pain in my heart increases and the tears stream onto my keyboard, I find solace in the thought that he was as strong and courageous as ever, right to the very end. I am grateful to have met such a man that taught me, already as an adult, the value of hard work, generosity, and taking care of family, at any cost to yourself.
Peter will forever be in the hearts and minds of those he worked with as master craftsmen and a construction supervisor. The toughest man on the job site, with the hardest exterior, and the kindest interior. The value he placed on life was unlike any other person I have known. Not only did I witness his care for other people, I also saw how he cared for multiple rescue animals through the course of his life.
Pete will be a memory to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. However, for those that had the pleasure of being a part of his world, he will never be a memory, he will always be with us. We miss you, we love you, we are grateful to have had our time together. May you rest in peace my friend!
