On Wednesday, June 10, 2020, Philip B. Savoy, loving husband of 72 years, of Virginia M. (Portyrata) Savoy, passed away at the age of 94. Philip was born on February 3, 1926, in Springfield, MA, a son of Germaine and Sarazine (Finn) Savoy. He was raised and educated in Springfield and was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School. Philip served his country honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. During WW II. After serving in WW II, he attended North Eastern University. He had a long career as an independent engineer draftsman, working for various companies throughout the area, and in his retirement years, he continued to work as a cashier at Teletrack. Philip leaves behind his wife, Virginia of South Windsor, CT and loving sons, Philip B., Jr. of Canton, MA, David and his wife, Kathryn of West Newbury, MA, and Michael of Middletown, CT; seven cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Bryan, Andrew, Faith, Megan, Salma and Sara Savoy; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nine brothers and two sisters. A private committal service will be held for Philip at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Bondsville, MA.
