Phyllis J. Farrell, 91, of East Longmeadow, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Born in Springfield, MA, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Frank Levere and Mildred (Grise) Levere. She was raised and educated in Springfield and graduated from Cathedral High School. After high school, Phyllis attended American International College in Springfield and then worked in the administrative offices at Springfield Hospital. Phyllis was a resident of East Longmeadow for the past 64 years and a longtime summer resident of Cape Cod. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Paul’s Church in Springfield. Phyllis’s passion was baking and cooking for her family and friends. She was best known for her delicious meatballs. She loved sewing, crossword puzzles, crocheting and reading. Most of all, Phyllis loved spending time with her family. She leaves behind four children; Linda O’Brien and her husband Bill of East Longmeadow, Patricia Farrell of Springfield, Debra Farrell and her fiancé Rick Hillman of Mason, Ohio, and Michael Farrell of Wallingford, CT; four grandchildren, Neill O’Brien and his wife Meghan, Caitlin O’Brien, T.J. Lovell and his wife Kaitlin, and Daniel Lovell; three great grandchildren, Carter and Morgan Rae Lovell and Liam O’Brien along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by Raymond, her loving husband of sixty-six years, her sister Barbara Silk and her husband Jack, and most recently her beloved grandson, Matthew Lovell.
