Phyllis Ann (Willett) Fedor, 96, beloved wife of Anthony Fedor, who predeceased her in 1997, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, at Willimansett West Nursing Home in Chicopee. Phyllis was born on July 1, 1923, in Holyoke, MA, daughter of Philip and Florentine (Schuster) Willett, she was a longtime resident of Springfield. Phyllis graduated from the former Sacred Heart Grammar School and High School in Holyoke, and later graduated from St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, as a Registered Nurse. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at several Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York Hospitals throughout her career. Phyllis was a longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Church in Springfield, and was a member of its Women’s Club. She loved to sew, knit, and solve crossword puzzles. In her younger years, Phyllis and Anthony, owned their own boat and would go deep sea fishing every weekend, and many of those trips were either to Georges Bank or Fisher Island. Phyllis leaves behind her loving daughter, Patti Ann Galletta, brother, Ralph Willett, and nephew, James Willett all of Chicopee; granddaughter, Amylia Fedor Soden. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her beloved son, Anthony (Terry) Fedor III in 2011 and by her son in law, Anthony Galletta in 2005. A private funeral mass will be held for Phyllis at Holy Cross Church in Springfield, followed by committal prayers and burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
