Ricardo Joseph Russo, Sr., 103, beloved husband, of 72 years, of Stephania (Pastruck) Russo, who predeceased him in 2014, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020, at the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke. Born on June 25, 1916, in Springfield, MA, a son of Giovanni and Filomena (Quadrano) Russo, he was a lifelong resident of Springfield. Ricardo served his country honorably and faithfully, as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during WW II. He served in many battles in the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign. He was employed as a meter reader for over 21 years, with Western Mass Electric. Ricardo leaves behind his son, Ricardo J. Russo, Jr and his wife, Eileen, of Livingston, TX; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
