Samuel Michael Fuda, 67, beloved husband of Thuy T. (Huynh) Fuda, passed away on Friday, February 14, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with his loving family at his side. Sam was born on June 3, 1952, in Springfield, MA, a loving son of James and Marie (Imhoff) Fuda, he was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and was a longtime resident of Palmer and Springfield. Samuel was a machinist and longtime employee at Pratt &Whitney in East Hartford. He enjoyed many hobbies and interests, being on his boat, skiing, and camping with his family and friends. Sam also enjoyed painting and was a very talented artist. He was a very loving father to his children and absolutely adored his grandchildren. Sam will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind his loving wife Thuy, of Springfield; children, Gina Ryan and her husband, Gene, of Millbury, MA, and Vincent Fuda and his wife, Elizabeth, of Springfield; his cherished grandchildren, Miela, Eli, Brandon, Kaden, and McKenna; siblings, James Fuda of Ludlow, and Deborah Robinson, of East Longmeadow. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his Sister, Linda Scavotto. Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, February 21, for visitation for Sam, from 4-8 p.m. at Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Avenue. His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 22, beginning at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Church, 323 Dickinson Street, Springfield, MA 01108. His burial will held at a later date at Island Pond Cemetery in Ludlow.
